Neeraj Chopra Age and Birth
Chopra was born to Satish Kumar and Saroj Devi on December
24, 1997 in the village of Khandra in Haryana, Panipat District. He is
currently 23 years old.

He has two sisters. He graduated from Dayanand Anglo-Vedic

Neeraj Chopra's early career
After local children teased him about his childhood obesity, Chopra's father admitted him to a gym in Madlauda; He was later admitted to a gym in Panipat.
While there, he also visited the nearby Panipat Sports Authority of India Centre, where javelin thrower Jay veer Chaudhary recognized his early talent.
Observing Chopra's ability to achieve 40 meters throw without training and being impressed by his drive, Chaudhary became his first coach.
After Chaudhary's training for a year, 13-year-old Chopra was admitted to the Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex in Panchkula, four hours away from his home.
The sports complex was then one of only two facilities in the state of Haryana with an artificial runway.
There he trained with coach Naseem Ahmed, who trained him in long distance running with javelin throw.
Initially at Tau Devi, he averaged about 55 meters throw.
Neeraj Chopra Early life and education
Neeraj Chopra (born 24 December 1997) is an Indian track and field athlete who competes in javelin throw.
A junior commissioned officer (JCO) in the Indian Army, Chopra is the first track and field athlete to win an Olympic gold medal for India. Winning a medal in men's javelin throw at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He is the second track and field Olympic medalist for India after Norman Pritchard, a sprinter who won two silver medals at the Paris Olympics and an obstacle.
At the 2016 IAAF World U20 Championships, Chopra set a world record of 86.48 meters under 20 years. Debuting at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 Asian Games, in which he was the flag bearer of the opening, he won gold medals in both games.
Making his Olympic debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Chopra won the gold medal on August 7, 2021 in his second attempt with a throw of 87.58 meters.
He is the only Indian to win an individual Olympic gold
medal (along with Abhinav Bindra), as well as the youngest Indian gold medal in
the individual event and his Olympic debut gold.

2012 Under-16 National Junior Championships in Lucknow.
Neeraj finished second in the 2013 National Championships.
In 2015, he set a record by throwing 81.04 meters in the
Inter University Championship.
At the 2016 Junior World Championships, Niranj set a new record by throwing 86.48m javelin. And a gold medal in his name.
In 2016, Neeraj won the gold medal once again in the South
Asian Games by throwing 82.23m javelin.
In the 2018 Commonwealth Games, Neeraj won a gold medal in
the 86.47m javelin throw.
In 2018, Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal once again by
throwing 88.06m javelin at the Jakarta Asian Games.
